Vinted Shoppers Share Frustration Over Sizing Modifications
Members of the platform have expressed outrage due to a modification that led to items being listed as the wrong size.
The popular resale platform has updated its sizing categories for women's and children's garments but did not contact all users about the change.
Online Platforms Response
Numerous buyers and vendors have taken to social media stating that platform listings now display a different size category versus the original listing due to the recalibration.
The company said the updated approach better aligns with comparable marketplaces.
The platform has recommended to review their products and adjust the sizing manually if necessary, resulting in member annoyance.
Measurement Approach Changes
Earlier, the sizing featured one number and one letter, for instance S/8 or M/10.
The revised method features a letter with a size spectrum for example S/UK 8-10.
For certain items, the size labels have been reassigned - for example a size L used to be a 12 but is now a UK 16-18.

Frankie Bridger, who makes TikTok content about plus-size fashion, said the change "makes both selling and buying harder".
"Few clothing companies classify XL as 20-22," the way the service now categorizes.
Stephanie Gallen, from Glasgow, explained products she uploaded featuring size 14 markings were displaying on the service as larger sizing 20-22.
"If anyone [who is] size 20-22 buys them they may become frustrated," she explained.
Necessary Adjustments
Charlotte Lunn, from Derby, explained she became annoyed due to the update requiring manual adjustment the sizes on "every single listing".
"For me this is particularly frustrating, as I'm chronically ill and platform income has been essential for me since losing part of my income," she said.
Marketplace Information
The app has more than 100 million shoppers, including 18 million in the UK.
It has become a favored option compared to resale services such as eBay and Depop.
This isn't the first time when a surprising modification on the platform has faced criticism: last year, the platform withdrew an update regarding delivery choices following member complaints.
